NSKK Grouping - Hauptsturmfuehrer Barnitzke

Interesting little grouping to an NSKK Hauptsturmfuehrer.

The grouping includes the following items:

Early Provisional NSDAP Membership Card, as issued in October 1930 with dues stamps to the reverse. Barnitzke was member #326,607: a comparatively low number, given that the party numbered in the region of 8 million members at its peak.

Entitlment slip, confirming Barnitzke's right to the wear the NSKK Ehrendolch.

Promotion slips (Sturmfuehrer to Obersturmfueher; Obersturmfuehrer to Hauptsturmfuehrer) dated 1935 and 1943.

Permit for travel within central Paris; dated 1940.

Wehrmacht travel permit.

WWI Soldbuch.

Discharge notice.

Folds and general wear and tear to all items; overall, good condition.

RAD Commemorative Miniature Spade - 1935 - Rare!

Super item! A miniature Reichsarbeitsdienst spade, of wood and metal, given in commemoration of one man's service in the RAD, during 1935.

The reverse of the spade end is inscribed with a swastika and the motto of the RAD; "Arbeit Adelt" ("Work Ennobles").

The obverse; "Zur Erinnerung an meine Arbeitsdienstzeit 1.1035 31.3.36 AMH Maack Gau XVIII Abtlg. 6/780 Zug II Trupp 9 Soderstorf".

Please observe that the metal spade end is DRGM marked.

The spade is 410mm long and the spade end measures approx. 110mm x 94mm.

Overall, good to better condition. You'll notice that I have elected not to clean the spade end.

RAD Sports Award - Rare!

Another rare item (a first for me, in fact): a "probable" RAD Sports Award, according to JR Angolia RAD Sports Award, since such an example is illustrated on p. 549 of Angolia and Littlejohn's book, "Labour Organisations of the Reich" (wherein the photo is credited to the late Otto Spronk).

As can be seen from the photos, the item comprises the RAD emblem on a white field, surrounded by a gilt border (approx. 52mm diameter) and suspended on a brown ribbon.

Ribbon cut/frayed and some oxidation to the border and reverse of the RAD emblem.
